'Radical Tenderness' - Iván Argote in Conversation with Anna Schneider (DAS MINSK)

Artist Talk

On the occasion of the exhibition A Place to Stay, artist Iván Argote and Anna Schneider, Director of DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam, will discuss key aspects of Argote's artistic practice. Alongside his current exhibition at Spreepark Art Space, the conversation will focus on his public artworks, including Bridges Spreepark, as well as his engagement with questions of participation, representation, and social visibility.

Anna Schneider has been Director of DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam since 2025. From 2012 to 2025, she worked as a curator at Haus der Kunst in Munich, where she collaborated with artists including Meredith Monk, Theaster Gates, Michael Armitage, and Oscar Murillo. With a background in postcolonial theory, her work focuses on uncovering cultural and social histories and examining their influence on the emergence, form, and meaning of artistic expression.

The artist talk between Iván Argote and Anna Schneider will be followed by the panel discussion Reimagining Public Space with further guests, moderated by Katja Aßmann (Artistic Director of Spreepark Art Space).
